Hi Miguel!
So I am not actually a virologist, which means I don’t really work with viruses! Scientist tend to work on really specific things and only a few of us work on viruses. I have been lucky enough to help with Covid-19 research though, specifically I have been looking at different conditions for covid testing so we can improve the methods and have more options. However, for this, I was looking at only one part of the virus, the RNA which is what contains all the information for the virus… But all living things have RNA and working with viral RNA is just the same as working with human RNA!
