(Dropped Physics because I got a D in the first year)I missed the grades for my first choice university (The University of Nottingham) who asked for BBB. Instead I went to my second choice Keele University which I 100% do not regret. I struggled a lot at University especially writing essays and exams. I was again given extra time to finish my exams similar to when I was in college. In my first year I was only averaging 48% and I only just passed the year. I even failed a module in my second year! My average gradually went up and my final grade was 69% a 2:1 but only 1% of a First!!!
I did a Masters in Neuroscience Research which a 9 month research placement in Stockholm!
Then when I started my PhD I found the first few months horrific. I knew I was clever enough but I just couldn’t seem to learn like everyone else. The university decided to send me to have an assessment with an education psychologist where I was finally diagnosed with Dyspraxia with a high likelihood of ADHD at the age of 26! Everything suddenly made sense! I finally get the help I need and It’s allowed me to find out how my brain works and what I can do to make it more efficient. I just really wish I’d found out sooner!!!
