Sadly they aren’t absolutely massive – if I am very lucky (and patient) I can get a crystal about half a centimeter across. But other crystals can be absolutely miniscule. Crystal size depends on how long they take to form. The more patient you are, generally the larger the crystal. Crystallisation is a really cool process and you can experiment with it using everyday chemicals at home.
