Hi Eva! I’m not sure exactly what I want to do after I finish my PhD. But I do know that I want to stay in science, and I also want to do something that makes a difference. I chose my PhD topic because I’m really passionate about environmental issues, so I’d like to continue this in my next job. In general, I just want to have a job that I’m excited to do, and doesn’t feel too much like work!

Whatever I do, I want to try and make a positive difference to people’s lives. So working on developing medicines for disease is very rewarding at the moment. Also I really enjoy working with explaining and communicating science to patients and charities and the general public, helping them to see how research is making a difference to their lives.
